Our Verdict:

It’s always a little hard to have a strong opinion on a betting company that has only been in the game for less than a year.

The best way to describe DAZN Bet is to call them a ‘work in progress’. They’ve done a good job of building a nice-looking website, have developed a decent DAZN Bet betting app and made some really helpful stats and other info available to customers to help them with their betting choices. The odds and variety of markets are perfectly adequate.

But there’s plenty of work to be done.

They’ll need to make use of their own DAZN streaming services in the future and add the likes of Best Odds Guaranteed so as to not be left behind compared to the competition. They’ll also need to add a few more sports like greyhounds to their portfolio, and beef up their payment options.

Strengths

  • Good for betting on combat sports like boxing, MMA and UFC.
  • Useful and insightful stats, standings and other info on upcoming events powered by Betradar.
  • Lots of Specials markets to bet on, particularly politics.
  • Website is one of the more attractive ones.
  • Super Boost offers even greater value than regular Odds Boost promo.

Weaknesses

  • No Live streaming at all at present.
  • No Best Odds Guaranteed.
  • Don’t currently offer greyhounds racing.
  • Don’t accept PayPal as a payment method.

Intro

DAZN, founded seven years ago, are aiming to provide a ‘truly 360-degree interactive sports entertainment experience for customers’ through live streaming for sports events with a particular emphasis on combat sports like boxing, MMA and UFC without neglecting all the major sports like football and tennis.

The idea is to be the ‘Netflix of sports.’

They’ve enjoyed considerable success already and like plenty of other successful companies, were keen to add a betting element to their core business by having their own betting site with DAZN Bet.

It went live in the UK in the summer of 2022 in a ‘soft launch’ and many would have expected them to have made use of their streaming services from the off. That hasn’t been the case, but we suspect it will be and that streaming and other first-class content will be at the centre of what they do going forward.

The fact that they’ve already partnered with the likes of Betradar, Playtech and the Press Association Betting Services shows you just how serious they are about making the betting side of their business work.

Sign Up offer

Let’s get this DAZN Bet review underway by looking at the DAZN Bet sign-up offer.

The sign-up offer

Depositing and placing a bet of at least £5 will earn you a free bet for that same amount, plus 10 free spins.

In truth, it’s not one of the better welcome offers out there. It’s essentially an 100% deposit bonus in the form of a free bet, with 10 free spins thrown in.

Other betting sites will give bonuses for considerably more than 100% and in many cases for greater amounts.

Notable terms and conditions

  • The £5 qualifying bet must be placed at odds of at least 1.5.
  • The free bet has to be used within 6 months.
  • The £5 free bet must be used in one go and can’t be broken down into smaller bets.
  • If the free bet wins, you get to keep the winnings from it but not the stake.
  • Ten free spins for £10 each will be awarded within 24 hours of the qualifying bet being settled.
  • The free spins must be used within 7 days of them being awarded.
  • Free spins must be used on one of the six slots listed in the terms and conditions.

How to claim your welcome bonus

  • Register an account with DAZN bet.
  • Deposit at least £5 and place a qualifying bet of £5 at odds of 1.5 or greater.
  • Use your free bet and free spins as per the terms and conditions.

Registering an account

  • Click on the Sign-Up button at the top right-hand side of the homepage.
  • Enter your name, date of birth, gender and nationality.

  • Enter your address, contact information (phone number/email) and choose an account password that you’ll easily remember but which won’t be easy for anyone else to guess.
  • Choose a username, password and choose a security question (and answer) that you’ll easily remember.

  • You have the option to choose a deposit limit if you wish.
  • Tick the box to confirm that you’re 18 years old or older.
  • Tick the box if you wish to receive news of marketing promotions via e-mail or SMS. It’s always good to know what’s being offered, so the advice is to tick the box.
  • Click Continue to finalise the creation of your new account.

Ongoing Promotions

Whereas they don’t offer nearly as many or as varied offers as some of their competitors, there are still some decent DAZN Bet promotions worth looking out for. Here are some of the best of them.

5 for 5

You’ll need to place five bets for at least £5 each at odds of at least 2.0 between Monday and Sunday. On the following Monday, you’ll be credited with a £5 free bet to use within six months of being awarded it. Note that you only get to keep the winnings from the bet and not the stake, as well.

5% Cash Boost when you win at 5/1 or greater

Winning on a UK or Irish racing event at 5/1 should be reward enough for you!

But Dazn Bet betting on racing at those odds comes with extra rewards beyond just the payout on the bet.

As long as you meet the two above requirements (winner at 5/1, placed on UK or Irish racing), DAZN Bet will add an extra 5% to your total payout when it credits you with your winnings.

Multiple bets don’t count towards getting the extra 5%, but each-way bets do.

There’s a limit of £500 in terms of how much you can be awarded per bet. But then again, it would have had to be a huge bet for you to win more than £500 when it’s ‘only’ 5% of your winnings that’s paid out as a bonus.

Betting Markets and bet types

DAZN Bet offer a healthy number of sports for punters to bet on with (almost) all the major ones like football, cricket, tennis, horseracing and golf well covered.

But there is one glaring omission in the form of greyhound racing, which they don’t have at all.

It’s a bit odd because just about any bookie accepting bets from UK punters offers racing on greyhounds and the information on it is readily and widely available. So, it’s not totally clear why they don’t have it. But keep reading and you’ll see there are already steps in place to introduce it.

They also don’t offer a couple of other sports that are growing in popularity like eSports, beach football and surfing. But again, let’s see if they add those in the future.

In the meanwhile, here are some of the better features of the sports they do currently offer.

Sport Major competitions covered Good features
Football Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, Champions League, Europa League, Ligue 1, FIFA World Cup, Euros, Copa Libertadores.
  • Just about every professional football league in the world offered including obscure ones like Tajikistan, Philippines, Uzbekistan and Rwanda.
  • One of the very few sites we’ve seen that offers betting on German Amateur football.
  • Good Betradar-provided stats ahead of matches such as league standings, head-to-head records and top-line stats to help punters with their betting.
  • Bet Builder product is easy to use.
  • Healthy supply of pre-match and live betting markets.
Tennis AT Tour, WTA Tour, Challenger Tour, Davis Cup, Ante-post Grand Slam markets.
  • Top-line stats on the players in action including win percentage on different surfaces in the last 52 weeks and head-to-head records.
  • Ante-post betting on all Grand Slam events available months before the tournament starts.
  • Decent number of ‘Specials’ markets on how many Grand Slam tournaments a particular player will win that calendar year.
Cricket Test matches, ODIs, T20Is, IPL, CPL, BBL, PSL, The Hundred, T20 World Cup, County Championship.
  • English county cricket tournaments particularly well covered.
  • Good stats such as head-to-head, recent matches and scorecards.
  •  Pre-match odds in line with the biggest bookies.
Horseracing All UK and Ireland daily races, Cheltenham Festival, Aintree Festival.
  • Racecards are easy on the eye.
  • Race card includes the last three odds at which the horses went off at, which is a rare feature.
  • Decent amount of ‘Specials’ ahead of big races such as whether a particular horse will win by X lengths or more.
Golf PGA Tour, DP Tour, LIV Tour, LPGA, The Majors, Ryder Cup, Solheim Cup. Bet on all the Majors months before they start.

Almost the same number of markets for women’s golf tournaments as for men.

Other sports

So those are the most popular ones just discussed. But let’s look at a few other sports that DAZN Bet do particularly well.

Specials

If you’re a fan of Eurovision, you’ll find a far greater supply of betting markets on it than at most other bookies.

And if Eurovision has plenty of markets available to punt on, then the supply is even richer for politics markets. Interesting markets include: who will be the next Prime Minister after the election, who will be the next Labour/Conservative Party leader and who will be elected the next US President.

At the moment it’s limited to UK and US politics but we’re confident DAZN Bet will start having politics markets related to other countries in the future.

Boxing/MMA/UFC

The history of DAZN Bet is intrinsically linked to boxing in particular, as well as other combat sports, given DAZN is a one-stop shop for live streaming, video and other great content for these sports.

So, it’s no surprise that there are lots of markets on the likes of boxing and UFC fighting for punters to enjoy.

Betting Odds

So how are the DAZN Bet betting odds?

As is the case with most betting sites, they’re pretty close to what everyone else is offering. We found a couple of examples of markets where they had among the more generous odds and other examples where the odds weren’t quite as good; so it depends a bit on the market in question.

Betting Features

Now is the time in this DAZN Bet Sports betting review where we consider any special features they have that provide that little bit extra.

In-Play betting

The In-play offering here is pretty standard with most events they have pre-match markets on also going in-play.

It’s fair to say they don’t offer hundreds of in-play markets on the biggest events the way the likes of Bet365 or Ladbrokes do. But then again, many of those markets those two offer are somewhat ones that don’t see that much business anyway; and all the main ones are offered here.

Clicking on the In-Play link at the top of the homepage takes you to the Live Betting section which is divided into the different spots that currently have In-Play markets on them. So you can easily see everything that’s going on.

Cash Out Betting

You can find the Cash Out option on selected markets which allows you to secure a profit on a market before a bet has been settled, or to get some of your stake back on a bet you think is going to go on to lose.

So, it’s useful to have but they don’t offer it on as many markets as other bookies. Nor is the feature itself as sophisticated as at other sites in terms of the amount of choice when it comes to using it.

Bet Builder

Given they’ve only recently added the Bet Builder feature to their website (for football), it already gives you lots of choice when it comes to picking selections from lots of different markets. Again, maybe not to the extent that Bet365 or Betfair do; but there’s more than enough.

At the moment Bet Builder is limited to football but let’s see if it extends to NFL or baseball down the line.

Super Boost

At any given time, there will be four or five Odds Boosts on events starting shortly which already give you that little bit extra in terms of inflated odds.

But in addition to that, there’s a Super Boost every day. Not only is it on the most high-profile event of the day (generally a football match), but the odds are (clue is in the name) even more boosted than usual.

The day we checked, the Super Boost was boosting the odds from 13/5 to 7/2, which is pretty significant.

Missing Betting Features

At the moment, DAZN Bet is missing a few betting features that most other betting sites already have and which are almost standard.

These include live streaming and the Best Odds Guaranteed promise on horseracing.

The absence of live streaming is somewhat unexpected. After all, DAZN Bet are part of the DAZN brand that made a name for itself exactly by being the one-stop-shop for all sports content thanks to streaming, videos and other digital content (the Netflix of sports as they’ve become known).

Then why don’t they at least have the basics of football, tennis and horseracing streaming on offer?

The probable answer is that having streaming of sporting events on betting sites is quite a complicated process involving the buying of rights, which can be hard to get, and are expensive.

But like with most things to do with them, we’re going to assume this is work in progress and that soon they’ll have streaming for the major sports. And a particularly good offering on combat sports, which is sort of their niche.

Mobile App

The DAZN Bet betting app is available on both Android and iOS.

For more info on downloading betting apps, visit our mobile betting app page.

Using the betting app allows you to place pre-match and live betting wagers as well as study their library of useful stats and other content.

We found the DAZN Bet betting app to be easy to download and just as easy to use.

Customer Support

Like lots of other betting sites, DAZN Bet have tried hard to make their own lives easier as well as those of their customers by providing a good variety of FAQs.

They cover the following topics: App, withdrawals, registration and verification, promotions and rewards, My Account, sports, betting and gaming, deposits and safer gambling.

You’ll be surprised by how many queries can be solved just by referring to the FAQs, especially because the answers are knowledgeable, accurate and in many cases have graphics and diagrams that explain clearly how to do certain things.

All of which saves both DAZN Bet and customers time and effort by not having to bring Customer Service into the equation.

But if you still haven’t solved your problem, you can either get in touch via Live Chat or via e-mail at support@daznbet.com.

At present, they don’t offer a telephone service for queries.

Deposit/Withdrawal Options

DAZN Bet offer the same five payment methods for both deposits and withdrawals. And in addition to that, bank transfers are also available for withdrawals, but not deposits.

That’s not a huge amount compared to some of the other biggest betting sites but at least they’ve been sensible with their choice of those five, which are a mixture of debit cards and popular e-wallets, though PayPal aren’t one of them.

Withdrawal times are a little on the slow side, but we’ve seen worse.

Method Minimum deposit Minimum withdrawal Withdrawal Time
VISA/Maestro/Mastercard £5 £5 1-5 business days.
Neteller £5 £5 1-3 business days.
Skrill £5 £5 1-3 business days.
Trustly £5 £5 1-2 business days.
Bank Transfer N/A £5 1-5 business days.

FAQ

No, you can’t currently use PayPal to deposit and withdraw at DAZN Bet. However, you can use alternative e-wallets such as Skrill and Neteller.

At the time of writing (April 2023) DAZN Bet doesn’t offer any live streaming at all which is extremely surprising because it’s part of DAZN, who do exactly that: live streaming of sports events.  But we expect that to change in the future meaning you will be able to watch streamed events on DAZN Bet at some stage.
